Memorial Weekend (a get away to St. George)

This weekend we went to St. George for a little get away. I got to visit a long lost friend from High School/ College Roommate MANDY and her cute little family. It was fun to reconnect and have a blast from the past. We reminisced about the good old days and laughed and enjoyed visiting.....while our kiddos played and played and played. Gavyn finally found a boy his age and had a ball with Mandy and Cam's son Tag. It was fun spending time with them and their cute little family.

We opted to rent a condo, because I couldn't bear the thought of spending money on a hotel room that I would still have the kids sleeping in the same room as us. It just doesn't seem right if you are on vacation! This was definitely the way to go with a kitchen, washroom, and 3 bedrooms. Jayson talked me into taking the 4 wheelers and we went 4 wheeling with his friend and his girls for a few hours. The weather was perfect and not too hot so we could enjoy our self on our ride. I actually had fun, and felt bad we didn't get to do more of it! We got to hang out with Robin Vinutee and see his awesome Helicopters. We haven't quite talked Jayson into riding in one yet though!

We went to the St. George Temple and spent time walking around. It was beautiful!

The kids had a ball playing the the water at a park in downtown St. George. We couldn't hold them baack!

Then we were off to ZIONS. It was breathtaking! The kids loved the mile and a half tunnel that we had to be escorted through because of the 4- wheelers and trialer. Let's just say we were a wide load!!!!!

We hiked around and did some playing and then we were off through the mountains through Brian Head Ski Resort. It was snowy and freezing, but beautiful!

Our last stop was at Cove Fort. This may have been one of our favorite stops! We took a tour and heard all the great stories. They did amazing things back then! It was a spectacular place and we truely enjoyed it. What great Pioneers!

We had a wondrful weekend with friends, relaxing, seeing amzing country, four wheeling, and spending time together as a FAMILY! We made it home just in time to decorate graves. We hope you all had a wonderful MEMORIAL DAY too!

Finding the Desire....... FOR HIRE!

Job post..... I am looking for a Gardener, blogger/journaler (one that can spell and write better than I do), a cook, a taxi driver, a nanny, a professional cleaner, a chef, and last but not least a good girlfriend. I will pay any amount of money.
So, It has been awhile since I have had a post of my own. I just cant find the desire to do anything, let alone blog. There never seems to be enough hours in the day to accomplish the to-do list. Quite frankly, I haven't even been "lurking", or commenting on any of my favorite blogs out there either. What is wrong with me?..... I know I am terrible...I will try to do better. I just have had no desire. It can be a full time job, and I have been on my own vacation the past few weeks.
Jayson did the last post, if you couldn't tell. He is definitely a GUY! I love him to death! I think he was feeling left out since his brother and brother in-laws all have their own blog... our family blog is all he has got. I know you were just dying to hear all about his drag trip! I am so glad he had such a great time without us, and since his post, he has been reminding me that his post received more comments than mine usually does..... it is true! Oh well, I keep telling myself the whole reason why I am blogging it to keep a short family history, (even if it is somewhat lame). I have never been a journaler so this maybe our only family record. Sad, but true! I am extremely insecure about blogging due to the fact that everyone can see what a horrible writer and SPELLER I am. I am, I admit it...... I am the WORLDS WORST SPELLER. I get made fun of all the time, thus I hope you can all put up with my misspells, and misprints, and just know it is who I am.....I seriously want to hire an editor for my blog. Do you think anyone does that? Bring on the resumes! So here are a few pictures of what we have been up to lately, we are always so busy,so much I can't even think straight without the calender, but when I am asked what we do.....It sure doesn't sound like much.

Baylee has a magical hand when it comes to coloring contests. She recently won a contest for the Box Elder Family Support Center, she along with others got lots of loot and her picture for the News Journal. Jayson and I always joke that if we want to win something we should have Baylee enter because she has great luck!

Jenna is counting down the days until it is summer, and is extremely excited about swim lessons and can't wait until she gets to go to kindergarten. I think it will be a long summer with her and Baylee together all summer long. There is always so much drama when the two of them are together. SISTERS!!!!! I may need to purchase a black and white striped shirt and whistle!

Jenna must be having flash backs from Minnesota, because she is always asking me if we can move back there. Strange to think she can remember it so well. She was 3 when we left. I can't blame her, I miss it too sometimes. It was fun! We had some great times and great friends!

Baylee received some academic awards from her Wonderful Teacher Mrs. Barrus. She has enjoyed every minute of her as a teacher. Mrs. Barrus did a great job this year and Baylee loved being her student. It is always hard for Baylee when summer roles around to say goodbye to teachers. She loves school and longs to go each day, we credit that to her great teachers. Mrs. Barrus will always hold a special place in her heart..... especially since she is retiring.

Both Baylee and Jenna have kept us busy this spring with soccer games. Baylee totally loves it. She was good, and very serious when it came to soccer. She loves it! Baylee is not afraid to get rough with the boys either..... She can hold her own!

Three weekends ago Jayson got all the 4 wheelers out and we went for a spin here on the Mountains by our house. The kids loved it and we ended up a the neighbors house and stopped to check out the Nelson Farm. This is what we found. How would you like one of these in your nose? The kids got to see them milk cows...(try explaining that to the girls!), pet little bunnies, and feed new babies cows!

This is my attempt to being a Gardener. I am not good at it, and I hate to do yard work, nothing I do seems to grow. This is as good as it gets at my house! I am lucky that the deer didn't eat these ones, because they got a hold of all my other flower and ate them. Jayson and I are attempting a garden, we planted it last weekend.... I am thinking nothing will grow. I just don't have the green thumb!
